Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2022 sales reach
unprecedented levels ahead of show later this month

Interest in leisure vehicles has never been greater – with spring show ticket sales already hitting over 95,000

The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, returns to the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham later this month from 22 – 27 February 2022, with the largest start of season showcase of leisure vehicles in the country. Advance ticket sales for the show have rocketed, already exceeding previous years and set to hit over 100,000 this weekend.

In an effort to manage overcrowding, tickets for the event have been limited each day to help spread attendance across the week. Tuesday 22nd, Thursday 24th and Saturday 26th February are now fully sold out, but there is still limited availability for the rest of the week. Tickets need to be booked online in advance and will not be available on the door.

Along with checking out new-for-2022 caravans, motorhomes and campervans, holiday homes and a huge range of tents, trailer tents and camping gear, visitors can look forward to hearing about places to go and activities to enjoy while on their touring adventures from famous faces at the show’s Inspiration Theatre. The increased sales for the event reflect the huge upsurge in the sales of and interest in leisure vehicles in the last two years, spurred on by the pandemic and the staycation culture it has created. The lure of a self-contained bubble that can be used as a holiday home wherever holidaymakers choose to park has never been stronger. The show will be debuting 50% more campervan models than in previous years, demonstrating the growth of the market.

Spanning Halls 1-5 of the NEC and with over 350 exhibitors from across the outdoor leisure spectrum showcasing their latest products, the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome show will offer everything you need to enjoy touring and camping. As well as hundreds of new leisure vehicles and tents to step inside and compare, visitors will be able to shop from a fantastic choice of accessories and gadgets and discover a whole host of new and exciting holiday destinations in the UK and further afield.

The show will also offer the opportunity for visitors to try a choice of free activities including Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking on the water on an indoor pool and scaling the ‘Peak’ climbing wall. A brand new attraction celebrating the Great British Seaside will offer kids the chance to go crabbing off a purpose built pier, ride a helter-skelter , play Beach Bingo and build their own sand castles. There’s even fish and chips on offer to complete the whole seaside experience!

Impartial advice from experts for existing leisure vehicle owners and those interested in buying into the touring lifestyle will be on offer and free caravan towing courses, motorhome manoeuvring lessons and campervan test drives provided by leading member organisations, the Camping & Caravanning Club and the Caravan & Motorhome Club, will be available for visitors (over 25 with a driver’s licence) to get a feel for the different types of leisure vehicle available, brush-up on their driving/towing skills and build confidence behind the wheel.

NCC Events Chairman, Anthony Trevelyan said:   “We can’t wait to welcome those who love the freedom and adventure of caravan, camping, motorhome and holiday caravan holidays to the NEC in a few weeks time and extend a particularly warm welcome to those new to the touring lifestyle joining us for the first time.
